Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp users around the world have been reporting the apps have not been working. According to DownDector, a web-service which provides real-time information of bugs and outages of online services, people around began reporting issues with the apps early Wednesday morning.
A live outage map shows users throughout U.S., Central and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia are having issues with the apps.
Issues began as early as 5am local time. Since then, Down Detector has reported over 7,500 Facebook outages, over 14,500 Instagram outages, and over 1,600 Whatsapp outages around the world.
The cause of the outage is still unknown.
A statement from Facebook, which owns Instagram and Whatsapp, was not publicly available as of the time of this writing.
