Northern Arizona Road Closures - Thursday 02/21/2019

February 21, 2019

As a heavy winter storm moves through Northern Arizona, the Arizona Department of Transportation has closed many highways due to accidents and road conditions.

Earlier in the day, US 60 was closed in both direction at Top of the World due to a crash.

Arizona Department of Public Safety tweeted out several times for people to avoid travel through Northern Arizona this morning with Col. Frank Milstead, Director of AZDPS tweeting these photos of an accident from around 11 this morning on I-40 just outside of Flagstaff.

According to DPS, between 3am and noon Thursday, troopers in Northern Arizona dealt with 152 calls for stuck vehicles and slide-offs, and 28 crashes, most of which were non-injury.
