Three people were arrested following a drug bust after a mid-morning traffic stop on Monday, January 29.

The morning was eventful at the corner of Lake Powell Blvd, and Elm St. as officers from the Page Police Department, Coconino County Sheriff's Department, and the National Park Service managed a situation.

It all started when an officer from the Page Police Department attempted to pull over an RV

traveling southbound on Lake Powell Blvd. just after 10am that was displaying fake plates and was causing a traffic risk by traveling with the external expandable stairs down.

Once the vehicle pulled over, the RV began to reverse quickly, striking the police vehicle behind it. The officer was not in the vehicle at the time of the collision, and was unharmed.

The RV's three occupants were detained and identified as Andra Butler, Sarahelizabeth Halsell, and Matthew Green. Upon searching the occupants, officers found methamphetamine in Butler's possession.

A Page Police Department drug K-9 unit was called out to assist, and alerted officers to the presence of illicit drugs inside the vehicle.

Upon further search of the vehicle, officers discovered "...a substantial amount of cocaine and marijuana", a number of drug paraphernalia items, a firearm, and "...items consistent with drug sales", according to the Department's official press release.

As a Page Police Officer was involved in an accident, Coconino County Sheriff's officers were called in to investigate. Officers from the National Park Service were also called in to assist with traffic control and searching the vehicle.

All three occupants were booked into the Coconino County Jail on multiple drug and possession charges, including possession of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited possessor.

Additionally, Butler is also being charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of dangerous drugs.

There was also a warrant out of the Page Magistrate Court for Green.

The investigation is still ongoing.
