According to representatives of the hotel, Home2 Suites by Hilton, will be the first true extended stay hotel to feature only suites in the Page/Lake Powell area. Unlike other hotels throughout the region, this hotel has some unique features in not only what the guests see and experience, but also in its construction.
The hotel will feature 108 suites, offering 323 sq.ft. studios and 490 sq.ft. one-bedrooms. It will also be four stories tall, and will have a building footprint of less than 2 acres.
During the construction, the idea is for sustainability and minimization of the hotel's environmental impact through incorporating many environmentally conscious operations and amenities. Some of these the guests will get to experience firsthand, such as low-flow showers and faucets, dual-flush toilets, compact florescent light-bulbs, and indigenous landscaping. Even the food trays will be biodegradable.
What the guests won't see is that the hotel will be that the carpeting, flooring, and surfaces will be made from recycled materials. And to ensure the hotel is staying within Hilton's measurements for environmental impact, the hotel will also be incorporating Hilton Worldwide's LightStay system, whose achievements were featured in an Environmental Leader article in 2016.
Other amenities the hotel will feature include a salt-water pool which requires less maintenance, is safer than chlorine, and gentler on the skin and eyes. There will also be a community space which the company calls the "Oaisis" which is around 4,200 sq. ft. and designed to create a comfortable and welcoming environment where guests can feel free to socialize, work, or relax.
LPNN doesn't know about this location, but all other Home2 Suites locations are pet friendly, and according to Home2 Suite's website, they mean more than just dogs and cats.
The Home2 Suites by Hilton is expected to be open for guests by Winter 2019.
